Only other thing I'm noticing is whether Power Critical is worth taking over Precision, since I'm a big fan of the 25% fort reduction (and its not like you're in PA/CE anyway)

Precision is a given. I thought I had it in there.

Hey thanks for fleshing that out. I always wanted to try a great bow build, even if its not optimal.

Any particular great X-bow that would be worthwhile farming for before a TR? Takes me a long time to get through a life as a casual gamer but the journey sure is fun.

Oladren's is great for level 1. The only other ones are crafted, so keep an eye out for good random gen or buddy up to someone with cannith crafting. Of course you can craft GS/Alch/ToEE/TF if you want to put that much effort into it.

Also pulverizer is specifically for melee weapons, for example throwing hammers do not benefit because they are 'thrown weapons' not bludgeoning.

You sure? Pulverizer (used to?) work just fine with Silver Slinger and other Blunted Ammunition weapons.

Yes I am sorry to report that I am sure, and still very sad about it.

It's a similar situation to when the AA secondary imbues stopped effecting anything but arrows. especially disappointing

Some of you may have noticed that since Friday's patch the reload speed on the Xbows has dropped back down again on Mechanics, between Thursday and Saturday they lost just shy of 20% speed, (18.3% to be precise)

So I guess they thought Mechanics were Overperforming

Well, I don't know about AA imbues, but Bow of the Silver Flame with Pulverizer is a 19-20 x 3 weapon as of today.

EDIT: Throwing Hammer benefits from Pulverizer as of today as well.

Yup, polished his technique over on AC.

It's like the dumbass didn't expect us to track and make benchmarks of rate of fire, I mean really Sev?

Not this fast. But fear not. his back up excuse of "overperforming on our internal testing" is at the ready!

Yup. Goodbye FotM potential. Artis almost had a day in the sun  Cry

Still, not crying too much. Even with the nerf, Artis (and Mechs) got an overall boost.

I wasn't playing between U25 and P1, so you're saying crossbows were even faster than this during that time?

As it stands I'm firing a great crossbow 40% faster than a bow.

Quick test at Rog14/Arti2, rapid shot + rapid reload, no haste:

short bow: 10 arrows in 10 seconds
GXBow: 14 bolts in 10 seconds
HRepeater: 9 volleys in 10 seconds

Edit: Also with Mechanical Reloader.  Should definitely not forget that.

God I love how that term has seeped into the forums, and how they have given up policing it.

Now Sev just doesn't say shit.

Are the old speed-tests still more or less valid in regards to the effect of each feat on crossbow reload/fire rate?

Yeah, I was hoping someone had done new tests. It was pointless to test on the last Lama build, or I'd have tested there.

some tests have been done
https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/443151

Quote:
I erased all my crossbow data since it no longer applies.  Here is some new data with a light repeater (volleys per minute so multiple by 3 to get attacks per minute):
bab 0 0% 29.9 volleys per minute
bab 0 0% rr 39.8

bab 1 0% 33.4
bab 1 0% rs 37.3
bab 1 0% rr 40.5
bab 1 0% rs rr 46.4

bab 21 0% rs rr 50.5
bab 21 10% rs rr 51.7
bab 21 30% rs rr 52.9

bab 26 0% rs rr 50.8
bab 26 60% rs rr 57.4 (12% increase from 0% alacrity)

Some conclusions:
So alacrity for a repeating crossbow gives about a 2% attack speed increase per 10% of alacrity (so I'm guessing fusilade > haste boost).
Casting tenser's with a repeater probably isn't worth it (as opposed to thrown which really is worth it).
At high level a repeater can give you 150-170 attacks per minute before doubleshot (quite a bit higher since doubleshot appears to be adding too much to repeaters).

A theoretical thrower attack rate with double shuriken, 70 dex, and 60 doubleshot would be 84 * 2.2 (30% + 30% + 60% doublestrikes) = 184 (I'm not sure it is possible to get your dex and doubleshot that high).

10 epic feat, 9 plife, 10 rogue tier 5, 20 killer, 9 quiver /or more if better offhand makes for 53 sustainable, the killer part might not be there for some fights, currently only zuggy fight is important in game tho where you cannot sustain killer part
Dunno if bard thing gives 10 dshoot, also there is if bard mix action boost that can be counted in somewhat.

Tho xbow builds are imo better now due to better base damage and honestly when you stand in front a 400-500 k named that is immune to mortal, you dont really want to play a shuri in the first place.
Xbow can dish out serious damage or gbow tho atm, shuri builds really serve no purpose for temple kinda.
Trash is nonexistent if you play a barb anyways and only thing that matters is how to handle those big hunks of hp since you can invis most of the stuff anyways and can survive with some effort even in red alert as melle, no idea how a shuri or xbow rogue would survvie red temple alert tho.

Please seem my spreadsheet in the updated Tinkerhell thread where throwers put out ~1550 damage per second WITHOUT Mortal Fear procs, Archers Focus, or action boosts.

Where's your spreadsheet? How damage does your Barbarian damage build do?

I survive red temple alerts constantly. In fact, among my guild groups, I'm one of the only one that tends to survive Temple red alerts. That's the beauty of a Thrower, you fight from far away. Anyone can cast invis and run.

What are your melee builds sustained DPS outputs? And moreover, how are those affected by constantly needing to stop and heal, or even stop, run, jump, and then heal? Especially toe to toe with a large red named?

Put up some data or or just stop trying to tell people things you don't seem to have any objective knowledge or moreover proof of.
