Usual bullshit.  "Quality of life improvements" yet the worst quality of life factor in the game, our dear friend the Lag, remains unchecked and unchallenged.

Releasing a new class, Halflings with a minor cosmetic change to their heads.  Damn, that must have been hours of coding work for the night janitor.

I must have missed the part where they were going to fix handwraps, you know, the weapon specific to one of the most expensive PAY TO PLAY class in the game.  Might have been buried in there with the news about the update to Monk enhancements. I kinda skipped over that.

Oh, and the anniversary thing.  Sev and the gang have no idea how much some of the player base want to kill them.  Sell a special throwing potion called "Spit on a dev's grave" that we could throw at them after they're dead (with some cool visual effects added in) and I can promise robust sales in the store.

It took almost 10 years but Turdbin finally made me quit this shit.

Dear players,

The D&D rules you were familiar with were too simple to understand, so we're continuing our move away from them to needlessly confusing subsystems that will make your play experience less fun and invalidate old builds and loot. We hope you have fun working out what the fuck MRR, PRR, MP, SP, RP, CL, MCL and all the other bullshit we made up whilst drunk means.

Love,

One thing for everyone who is a "skeptic" on this issue: Insurance companies are basing their underwriting on the assumption that it is real. They are refusing to write policies on homes that are likely to be in danger from rising seas 20 years from now, even though the resale rate of the homes is so high that they could keep writing policies for another 10 years and still not have to pay out on 1 policy in 5, but that would be irresponsible. Unethical, as well, but that's never stopped anyone before.

Honestly, If they give us up a character slot at the update for a gnome, I might create one... It's going to be the only one that will have his helmet on...

Maybe somebody should have sent them this before they were allowed to make PC races...

Edit: Yeah it's Pathfinder. But is anyone going to seriously argue that PF wasn't better at D&D 3.5 than D&D?

frankly the gnome looks a lot like what I imagine PP looks like - a pervy inbred midget albeit with better sartorial sense and without all the iguana shit stains.

I will.  PF promised to balance the classes.  And then they went right ahead with piling more power on the casting classes just like D&D 3.5 did.  So sure, your Fighter doesn't suck as hard in PF as in 3.5, but who cares when the Wizard got just as much added power and the gap didn't shrink at all?

My beef with the Gnome is that they are willing to spend time on it, and of course at least one enhancement tree for the race (and they are getting two, right?  Vanilla and svirfneblin?), rather than completing the class passes which remain undone and unscheduled.  Or even written, in the case of the Artificer and Druid.

No, let me be Frank.

They have to stimulate sales. The player base is stagnate new players only coming in at a trickle while the old players leave at a trickle. So new races, classes, are essential.

I think the problem they have really run into is that the passes were supposed to be done by this time last year, but with the swashbuckler's introduction there was a big jump in players and buying, so every pass after that became a 'event' much larger and had much more power creep in a effort to catch the spike they unexpectedly got with Swash. As opposed to just fixing the heavily gimp classes to make them playable which had been the initial mission statement for passes. Try to remember how absolutely broken and useless Bards and Pallys were just a couple years ago.

So as it dragged on, it hit classes that feed the players but stopped driving purchases, instead making existing end-game toons really tremendous, and so the momentum was lost. So the compromised and now are pushing a both new classes, races, along with class passes to feed the existing players hunger for power.

Nope.

Do not try the patience of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.

We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocation of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things.

The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Oh, did not know, do not care. Another way; "There will be some other power creep anyway so who cares." Less specific, same difference. Who creams their knickers over +2 to a stat these days? Not enough to play the ugly slugbeards.
