It helps by reinforcing the value of Shared Bank and how silly it is to not have it.

Stop complaining.

He only uses the one character, I know it's unusual but he has absolutely no interest in toons. The only utility the shared bank would have for him is for the quiver, and while the quiver is nice, it isn't worth 20 bucks, or that much grinding for favor. That's points that could be put to use in much better ways, like adventure packs. And right now I don't feel like being generous to Turbine with my money, with how they've been handling the lag situation.

The utility of shared bank remains valid even in a "only plays one toon" scenario, and it extends beyond the quiver "exploit".  If this value isn't compelling for your friend, that's probably because he's not playing enough.

For the most part, it's true that Adventure packs >> Shared Bank.  If you don't have all the packs and Epic Destinies yet, either earn more TP through play or buy them with dollars and get the content.  Then get Shared Bank.

The most efficient way to get content and points is still to do it through the DDO Market by purchasing some combination of MotU and ShadowFail expansion package deals which include other packs, iconic races, TP, and Epic Destinies.

Continuing to complain that you're not getting help with the quiver "exploit" and that people should have sympathy for your special case environment of "no shared bank because reasons and stubborn" is not going to work here.

Never had the intention of complaining, and I never expected to get help in the first place. The "complaints" you're referencing are just calling out people on not bothering to read the OP before replying.

The ranged attack speed, low ML, and bolt capacity are the features that would benefit him.

Full disclosure here: Yeah, I have plenty of disposable income that I could just drop $20 for him to have shared bank. I've been a sub for about 2 years, and I've done numerous other things such as buying classes for friends and such. I could have suspended that sub for plenty of extended periods when I wasn't even playing the game, but I justified spending the money by viewing it more as a donation towards keeping a game I really like away from maintenance mode a bit longer.

That mentality is gone with what's been happening the last few weeks. I still have my sub because I'm still playing, but I can't justify giving Turbine any more money. So buying shared bank is not an option I'm even considering.

Know why Turbine treats their customers like crap?  Because they can without repercussions since dipshits like you continue to give them money because *reasons*...

Man up and stop paying Turbine to use you like a strung out crack whore looking for one more rock.

So... did you actually read the post and how it says that I'm -not- buying the shared bank? Thought that part was pretty clear.

Yes, then I read the part about you still having your sub because reasons...  That part was pretty clear, too.

Man up pansy.

I very well might do that, if the lag situation doesn't get fixed in the near future. In the meantime, DDO, despite all it's flaws and terrible management, still does not have a better alternative. Which is why people are still playing it, and why people still care that the game is lagging in the first place.

Why wait?

Make two lists.

All the things Turbine has ever done to make you believe that they're going to do anything about anything in the near future.

All the things that Turbine has knowingly left broken for more than 1 year.

If you want better alternatives to DDO, you can find them.  Recently for me, that's been cleaning my basement.

See, I have a similar situation with my ISP. They're scumbags, but unless I want to go full Amish and not have internet, I'm stuck with them. Sure, I could go with the alternative, my local DSL provider, but that's probably worse than not having any internet in the first place.

So yeah, Turbine sucks, but DDO is still a great game, and I want to keep playing it.

(In this metaphor, Neverwinter is DSL)

And I'm confused, on one hand you're telling me to shut the hell up and drop $20 on shared bank, and the other you're telling me to not spend any money on the game. So where exactly do you stand, here?

Buying Shared Bank will have the outcome of you shutting the hell up about not having the shared bank and not being able to take advantage of exploits that require the Shared Bank.

Cleaning your basement or arranging your sock drawer or weeding your mulch beds instead of playing DDO will have the outcome of you shutting the hell up about not having the shared bank and not being able to take advantage of exploits that require the Shared Bank.

Anyway, I figure that this mailing BtA is a well kept secret, and it's likely that the individuals who know it may not be willing to take the time to go get the quiver, craft the arrows, etc, but I figure that it doesn't hurt to ask nicely.

There's a well documented procedure for getting more than one quiver per character.  It involves the Shared Bank.  If you want the Quiver, you know what to do.

You don't want to do what's necessary to get the Shared Bank.  Because reasons.

Nobody is going to share the mailing BTA goodies procedure.

No, I won't send your friend a quiver. He can buy a shared bank and stop being a bitch. After that, since how to do it has been posted here, he can do some digging.

As for not doing it in the fire caves, shared bank isn't the only way to trade btc items. You can do it, just by trading! Crazy right? The steps are eerily similar to literally every fucking item exploit. Good times!

You can tell your friend Jerry to suck a lollipop. My dick is to grand for his chub.

You really need to do your own research, I don't think there is anyone serious on these forums that is going to just give you the fire caves, quivers are one thing, that is another.  You might get a pm but I'd doubt it.

As far as I can tell, it's not publicly posted. That would kind of ruin the point of a secret.

NO, just go to the fire caves with your friend and experiment, you should have plenty of info on things to try FFS.
