I think even SSG knows that they can't reasonably expect to charge that for anything in DDO, or it simply won't sell.
lol. The disconnect from reality is strong with SSG.
Quote:LotRO has roughly double DDO's subscriber base (for reasons I can't begin to understand), so it's more within the realms of possibility to charge that much.
Six recent (for some value of for the first 3) blockbuster movies would be my guess. When was the last time the general public even heard D&D mentioned? In the 80s when that guy went missing in some sewer tunnels? Which is as close as I can come to barely remembering it. Maybe also in the 80s when some preacher decided it was satanic because monster manual had devils and demons in it?
Also Legolas. Everyone wants to fuck him Guys, girls, everyone. And Liv Tyler, too. Guys, girls, everyone wants to fuck her. When was the last time the general public all wanted to fuck your D&D character? Never, that's when. They throw up in their mouth a little when you keep bringing it up.
That trailer was painful though. The text was so rushed that if you blinked you missed it. 2 more seconds of screen time for each sentence wouldn't have killed them. It's not like they were paying the game by the minute for its time. The video was 1:06 long. Making it 1:10 long wasn't going to put anyone to sleep who wasn't already going to sleep in the prior 1:06. Or hell, they could have the text on the screen for a couple seconds longer and still not have to increase the video length. The coolest part was the guy planting the banner and it unfurling. So about 3 seconds of the 1:06. The rest was old and busted.
