The test you performed for that google doc was flawed.

After reading that post Anointed tested this issue himself and found that SA actually is affected by all debuffs.  The reason that so many people believe it isn't is because they have no idea where to look for the damage increase.

It was not flawed but TY. Were you looking at the wrong page? I know that thing is a messy shitshow by now.

I was just recalling when this topic first came up a few months ago, and you linked a google doc showing that SA did not scale with debuffs.  However in that post you only looked at the SA number, which is flawed since that’s not where the increase is added.

Here’s a very simple test you can do to show how it is added to the front number.

1.  Attack the magefire canon and stack up one of the debuffs.

2.  Hit the canon with assassin’s trick, and watch your front number skyrocket.

Since assassin’s trick only removes the SA immunity it shouldn’t increase your front number.  However it does increase the front number and this is due the the extra SA damage from the debuff; it’s being added to the front number.

Also does that somehow bypass 'First shot to allways miss' Ranged crosshair issue that was never fixed and continiued throughout years.

Since my return after long years of break, I experienced the same issue at Mechanic crossbow and Deepwood stalker bow builds to say the least.

I took another look at this build to reinvestigate the issue. After a fresh ER, I went out and punched some stuff for ~50 base damage and ~100 SA damage. After stunning this went to ~200 base and ~100 SA (Non-crit. Stunned crit was 5-600). I had No Mercy and Sense Weakness on for +110% helpless damage, but theres no way that quadruples the base damage. I suspect that the nerf didn't happen, the game just started graphically adding the extra SA damage to the base number for some reason. (The combat log does not distinguish, it reports the sum of base +SA as one line.)

I will not chone.

I did what I did intentionally and while my primary purpose was not to annoy the other Vaulties, I acknowledge that it was a side effect.

Smart people don't elicit "side effects."  They understand in advance the consequences of their actions.
