So the differences are that Ranger gets higher base damage against favored enemies, a bit more sneak dice, and a better critical profile. Thrower has higher base rate of attack, higher ranged power, higher boosted attack rate, higher boosted ranged power, longer uptime of boosted attack rate and ranged power, and longer uptime of deadly rain from having 14 more boosts.

I would suggest ranger thrower picks up haste boost in vkf for 1ap instead of knife versatility. That way it can deadly rain 7 more times a shrine.

Other differences are in the gear set. Fire and Air alchemical attunement are higher dps than Cold alchemical attunement. Air and fire hit for 5-12k, while being on a lower percent chance, the ice dot can't match up to that amount of damage. But ranger can grab fire proc on its dino weapons, so it only comes down to having air ring over mind and matter set rings. Last I tested dino air proc does not work at all, so it has to be the fire proc on dino weapons.

i dont actually think it's doing things, I'm running the 20rgr at cap now just got into some r10's last night. It's fine, but without MoM up the DPS drops a lot and without AS it's sloowwww AND 14/6 is likely a better set up for upcoming imbue changes. I have pretty outdated gear at the moment however so we'll see if the things it might be doing have to do with levels 31/32 and or gear I don't have

Also to be fair, bow is extremely glitchy since last time I played this game and constantly no-fires on nicely set up hunts end rotations. Hard to math that out

Since ED trees came out I've always had a love for Shuri builds. The 1d2 doing stupid amounts of DPS just makes me giggle. Running elf for the imbues in aa was tits.

That being said, the retarded over-hand-throw animation is cancer. I did notice you can essentially 'cancel' a throw animation with a good rotation but its not 100% for me. Maybe like melee twitching.

Been running this build for a few weeks now, been having fun so far. It's my first time playing a ranged so I'm still learning all my buttons, and I'm quite squishy, but the deeps is good. Also feels good to run 5 item sets simultaneously.

Not any gear from u57. However the +1 imbue dice augment from Hunt raid. Along with adding 2 rogue levels for the assassin imbue + dice are both something to consider.

AP would look like :
41 HW
11 DWS - Sniper
8 Assassin - 3 dice + imbue toggle
1 Henshin - +1 dice
12 AA - +4 dice
7 Spy - Cores + Rp boost rank 1.

For the DWS version that does not bow swap
36 DWS
16 HW
The rest of the AP is identical for both builds.

9 dice from augment and class ap. +1 dice from the dice feat. +2 dice from lawful embodiment. +1 scion arborea. And 2 dice from 2 piece reverberate filigree. Puts the build at 15 dice and 2d77 extra shiradi dice.

It trades some rp from filigree, 10% dshot during 10k, but gains constant poison damage scaling at 200% rp. And abuses shuri's innate x4-5 doubleshot multiplier as usual.

that's not what I said at all.

I said 2 things:

1. It doesn't appear to overperforming in any ways that are unpublished (per Rubbins comment about the 20 Rgr "doing things")

2. 14/6 is incontrovertibly better for imbue changes because it actually gets Imbue dice from Monk, and can splash into other imbue die options. Losing pure ranger 20 sucks on the pure build. Lastly, Shuri's literally throw more missiles than knives (double extra procs from SE + Ninja Spy, so around 20-30% more) which means MORE imbue procs. This isn't an opinion, it's just how the game mechanics + math work.  Tongue

Imbue changes for DWS shuri. Splashes 2 rogue for poison imbue, dice, trapping and some sneak dice.

I am not sold on imbue for bow hybrid. Neither am I convinced going deep for it on no swap shuri is worth it either. One of the biggest reasons is the bow swap becomes even worse. Largely from taking away haste boost to grab some dice. The other factor in not going in deeper on imbue dice is that so many mobs are just immune to the poison imbue.

For DWS versions I would grab some dice and the imbue, but not by cutting my rp, dex, and dshot down. Maybe if a specific push raid had bosses that were not immune, then I could see trading off some sources of dps to gain an advantage with imbue dice.

This set up ensures 100 dex score in reaper, using yugo pot and long lasting pot, and having reaper stat helm. This allows staying in fire when dpsing or ocean when kiting full time. Doubleshot is 96 standing on ship. 13 imbue dice/19 sneak dice. 270 rp standing and gear mythic/reaper buff not included.

adjusted feats to include watchful eye for 5 doubleshot over a +1 dex feat. Replaced a spines attack/damage filigree for a spines dex filigree.
