Interestingly, bladeforged can only take Follower of the lord of blades (unless I'm missing something?)  So I'm potentially reconsidering the FvS splash, as that was one of the major draws I think.

Interstingly, bladeforged can only take follower of the lord of blades, not silver flame.  So that's making me reconsider the FvS splash :/

Ugh I thought this was the case with BF. Times like this I wish I had game access so I could post with certainty.

Looking at it, a BF monkcher likely has around
14base+5tome+10item+1exceptional+2insight
32 charisma. (11 cha mod)

Fvs pros:
4ap for divine might
8ap for divine might + 5hp + 10prr
5% movement speed
Free feat (master of forms)
No need for turn undead (free twist slot)
Cons:
Divine might uses 15 sp
Roughly 8 saves behind a 2 or 4 paladin.

2paladin pros
5% movment speed
Free feat
8+ saves ahead of fvs
Divine might doesnt use sp
Cons
Divine might costs a twist slot
Divine might costs 7-11 ap (opinion: 5 of which sucks)

4 paladin pros
8+ saves ahead of fvs
Divine might doesnt cost sp
Cons
Loses 5% movement speed
-1 feat slot (this is huge to me, it could be quicken or mental toughness)
Divine might costs 7-11 ap
Lose access to 5% heal amp (not a big deal)

Im not bothering to work out total sp for each split on a cell phone, but I dont think ther'd be much in it.

The damage on all 3 splits is the same on paper.

The difference is your prefences with the pros and cons.

And repair amp but I take 1 tier if heal amp where gilv set with 20 amp and 30 bracers of parrying so you actually can be healed well enough in raids or whatever

For the record, I find quicken unnecessary on this build. Maxed concentration, good wisdom, and the fact that you're a ranged character I find to be sufficient. It keeps things exciting.

Since you can't, how about you take a step back and literally FUCK YOURSELF IN THE FACE!

Did I miss something?  I don't see auto-felatio in the BF enh tree...is it a Twist from one of the ED spheres?

Count me in if it adds a fort save vs broken neck....

I find it obnoxious in build threads. There's about 100 other places to troll for fun or whatever. But, whatever.

I value Munk's opinion only because he clearly is a builder. Not enough to pander or let him push me around or tell me I'm wrong when I'm not, but somewhere deep down I give a small shit.

Most of the other people in this forum just sit the fuck around waiting for handouts on builds and exploits and I treat them like the bottom sucking feeders they are.

Sue me.

Anyway, if anyone actually wants anymore info on BF Monkchers from someone who like, actually has one and plays it at endgame, let me know. I'll be lurking.

That has always been the case in D&D in every form. Sad times.

for monkcher what would be a good amount of wisdom to have? like how much would you need to function well in EEs....

I'm thinking mid 40s, but should it be higher?

Pretty much as high as you can get it once you qualify for OC and CA.

Depends on your tomes really.

it's best to think of it as 42= minimum, but the more the better.

good point.....gotta get that 2%  chance for a 4th arrow Wink

Well according to the formula on the wiki.......which I have no idea how accurate it is.

But still, thx.....gonna go with the flow and see what I wanna tr into when I get to 20, but this human (maybe elf, depends on feats/enhancements) monk 12 r 6 fvs 2 is one of my top choices.....

Its more about getting more 2 and 3 arrow shots than the negligible bonus to a 4th, but its nice when it shows up

true...the thing i really like about monkcher is that even my gimp as shit helf ranger 11 monk 9 AA can get enough damage to mow down enemies, and he doesn't even have any gear in 4 of his gear slots, and probably has like 30 items total on him.

If you're going to splash paladin, go 2 and man up about losing the twist. 4 paladin is pretty worthless.

4 pally gives you the turn undead feat so you wont have to twist in bane of undeath anymore and save a slot.  only con is that the divine might costs a lot of AP which could be very usefull in other areas

Yeah i don't know why people keep saying a free twist is useless, though if you have epic completionist which is a lot of work then its less valuable.

I think a free twist is awesome.

The reason I prefer 2fvs is I value the saved ap, and the free feat (master of forms), 5% movement speed and abundant step more than the pally saves

I feel many undervalue twists. They are kind of like feats or just miles better. No fail fort or will as tier 1 in arcane sphere for example do more than the epic feats would.

Bladeforged save Brace and Cocoon slot over most other builds so prolly should just make all my characters into one.   Grin
