Only the old timers will remember this one:

The infractions-for-mentioning-the-vault thing started right off the bat - I received 5 points for introducing the Vault. So I started openly linking it in my sig, which resulted in involuntary sig changes and more points. Then I started hiding it in my sig, say, making the link a smiley face or something.

Eventually, Tarrant got someone - I think it was MadFloyd - to code up something that would make my signature appear different to me than it does to everyone else. That piece of code was active until the most recent forum overhaul. So for the last five or so years, my sig showed as "This space intentionally left blank" to everyone else.

You should have kept that card on your forehead. Imagine the fun to be had by doing it here.

Hehe. Perhaps if you add there: my favorite part is.

Then again, I fear that even then, Cordovag would go all out furycreaming himself on anyone using it.

Hey, change the "DDO" on top to "DDO's next epic:" with too much gap between DDO and "next epic" and too little space between "DDO" and "Vault" so read left to right it is a petition to epicify Vault of Night (as opposed to 3BC) but visually the eye groups "DDO" and "Vault".

Could you imagine if somebody got banned for advocating the next epic dungeon and complained to WB?

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

I don't get it.

You know Jerry's an utterly predictable jerk.

Why go to the trouble?

they will probably congratulate themselves on how long they "kept it going" never able to see that it could have easily managed to keep itself going for far longer if they had just meddled far less drastically and with some semblance of an actual gameplan.

Other companies will settle for shitting out garbage, Turdbin actually prefers to. Especially if they can get us to buy it, that just cracks them up.

Devs do not care what players want - they already have an agenda and give out token gestures so the paladins can feel worthy.

The DDO devs aren't motivated by a positive user experience.

At this point I think I have as many posts on the Vault after a month as I do on the DDO forums after 8 years ...

Yeah antagonization is enough of a reward. On top of that there is the now endless ban repeal effort.... that has a 2 rewards .. a means of showing bias and the aforementioned antagonizing.

For the same reason that I replied to every single infraction I ever received on the Turbine forums: having that discussion was more important than the right to post on a forum where I could only post what they wanted me to post.

Still not sure whether I eventually got banned because I hit the infraction limit, or for the final PM I ever sent to Cordo. Maybe I drove him to the point where he infracted me for the PM, which would make the answer be "both".  Cool

Family, Country, and the US stock market. Although, in a pinch, any convertible currency or liquid asset will do.
