Enjoy the exploit while you can. Already fixed, not deployed.
And yes it is at an all time low. MOTU was at a 2000+ user pain, SC is under 400. Still not where I want it to be, but I'll take it. Last year we were on hotfix 36 or something by this point, I lost all my hair, sleep and gained 20 pounds. I still have no hair, but I'm sleeping just fine, and have lost 28 pounds...so I'm ahead of the game.
Oh and we did all this with half the team of last year (no fired, just moved to other projects). So troll away armchair developer, we are quite pleased where we are compared to last year.
Yes there are bugs..duh. Welcome to software. Let's watch our competitors tomorrow, and let's see who does more patches over the next 2 weeks. And that game is dead simple compared to the morass of stuff we have to deal with.
Seriously, if I find the dev that put in that 'feature' that is being abused right now...Sadly i can't shame any of the current team, that is an old old old checkin.
Want me to go pull a list frooommm..pick a game? Let's see...legacy of Romulus. 2 pages of issues on launch day, with what...16+ patches since XP launch? Right.
Give the buggy crap a rest. The game is in better shape now than it has been since 2011.
Oh it is fair...and it was not 3 times the size. The enhancement pass alone blows away anything we did in MOTU in terms of complexity.
Ladder bugs. Yeah deal with it. Phucked Up Engine thing. each one that is wonky needs to be fixed by hand.
But i can play that game. Right wall issue in Doom, causes unlimited speed and can break movement, mouse control and can throw you out of the world. never fixed.
STO: You can still beam down to a planet as a spaceship. WTF it's been 4 years can't they fix that? No. Engine phuck up. It happens.

I'm actually curious about what in particular has been fixed.
A smart play would be to tell everyone that the fix is incoming for an unidentified exploit and then flag the characters of the people posting about this mysterious exploit to be monitored to find out what exploit(s) they're actually posting about.
Smart play from bureaucratic point of view, Majmalphunktion, on the other hand, still has that spark, burning flame in his case, that makes him stand out significantly from his colleagues, left in him.
Still remember his introduction to community on offical forums, promise he's made to players. Proved it time and again with his posting there and cojones needed to come post around this place, with same nick as on official board no less. Hat off to him. If he had more authority, he would perhaps make more of an impact, but as it stands out, he still takes things and faults of others personally, even if he knows he can't remedy it.
Sure, software and bugs come in universal package, it's intended that way, we are all aware of that. In a utopian society, just impossible ideal to achieve, all software would be bug free from alfa, beta, v1.0, but that way, there wouldn't be any need for any patches, new versions, and each firm would eventually disappear after initial release.
In this consumeristic, capitalistic/ neo-totalitaristic or maybe imperialistic architecture of society, perfectionism is not worthy of consideration, even if just another unrealistic ideal.
Just a word to him, don't loose sleep, don't take it too personally so it has any negative consequences on Your health, don't give in to the "Big man". Always remember, you're human first, not a worker or employee, act that way, the way you're acting now. No need to compare this game to any other and judge it by that, judge it objectively by looking at the state of this same game at different stages. You say it's in better shape then in 2011., from bug point of view, maybe it is, it's debatable of course, but you can't deny it's lost heart & soul compared to say, 2008. or 2009. version.
When players can't make a difference between bugs and intended mechanism, that's bad, so many sweeping changes in such a short span introduced with each consecutive update, that's bad as well cause of lack of stability. Changing long term plans, and by long term plans I mean a monthly plans as I see it for there just isn't any far reaching perspective that game is headed towards to, except maybe pile up on dollars and abandon ship.
They should really listen to some of the more engaged community members, not "people" like "David". They should leave even negative threads up, if they're civil of course, cause it's just a form of opinion as well, and mostly always it can lead to better insights then hollow praises and artificial plastic posts.
Someone in charge should really post a game state with no twinkles and rainbows included. Devise a game plan with players, because they're the ones they need to cater to and worry about.
