I saw it in General before it vanished.  I noticed the link to the old one bug thread led to a login page.

Wonder if this was meant to be in the PC forum?

As of right now it can be pulled up in the Google webcache (the thread rest posted).

You mean the one that has only a guess about the reason behind that post?

Mine was a guess too.

Hey folks. It's been a while. I've been cleaning up from the last year, getting set for the next and came across a list of bugs that came directly out of the forum. I had them marked as 'the bugs that annoy players', and now I've decided to share with you the list of what we fixed and what the community thought at the time were the worst bugs in the game. Always interesting to look back and see where we were at about this time a year ago. Guess people were pretty annoyed with Madstone

I would like to continue this now tradition with you fine folk and not so fine folk by telling us your most hated bug. Lag or Ladders, Loot or launcher...whatever it may be. Help us help you and all that.
A couple of other things: Sox won the World Series, and the Pats...with the worst team they have had since 2006 made the AFC Championship game

Yes, my guess was right. It is just a "Look at me, I'm doing my job" thread.

Or is it try and act for the "Cool" kids?

When did I say that?

I just said that post is useless. It's his job to fix bugs. We know what bugs have been fixed till now. They know. What's the point again? There is no interaction here.

It's like content Developers go on the forums and start a thread stating "hey look, we did K, X, Y, Z, quests over the past year".

Thanks for look, I guess.

I would actually more glad if you shared the current prioritized list of bugs that you guys are working on. Now that would be much more interesting to read.

Dates.

I want to see date first reported, date confirmed, date reproduced, date fixed in development.

And then I want to see the date of every time it was re-introduced because "Version management is HARD, YO!"

Is it just a huge list of bugs? Nothing is getting fixed? Thx....

Dear players,

The D&D rules you were familiar with were too simple to understand, so we're continuing our move away from them to needlessly confusing subsystems that will make your play experience less fun and invalidate old builds and loot. We hope you have fun working out what the fuck MRR, PRR, MP, SP, RP, CL, MCL and all the other bullshit we made up whilst drunk means.

Love,

People who don't know how to fix their own mistakes cleanly

Wouldn't the online bug reporting tool being functional help in that regard?

So let me get his right, the limit on your job description is to identify bugs and that's it?
So you have no responsibility for prioritising them in terms of game impact?
And have no responsibility to see that they are in fact fixed by someone else in the team?
So once you have identified a bug, it gets filed in the NMP (not my problem) tray for future shredding?

I did not expect that QA would personally fix bugs, but I did expect that they were the last line of defence before code went live, and had ultimate responsibility to ensure bugs were managed.  I guess that explains a lot then (like recurring old bugs).

Throw in a public facing Bug Tracker so we can see bugs as they get reported, and it would be worth the effort to report bugs again.

Of course these modern software development tools such as bug trackers and version control software are like condoms - having them isn't enough, you have to actually use them.

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

Jeez, some of you are REALLY dumb.

That is a list of bugs that have been FIXED.

I'm sure the list of bugs that haven't been fixed is MUCH longer and would certainly NOT have been published publicly.
