the person who created the build maxed con and cha i talked to them and they said that the survivability is worth alot more than the dps and i have to agree that no fail saves are worth a little dps loss which is not an issue with this build, divine might also makes up for alot of the lost strength and with force of personality all your saves can be over 70

since this builds mo seems to be to just stand in the middle of everything survivability seems paramount (since dps is already stupid)

I like to play Iconics for the fast start at 15. It looks like I can make a Morninglord work going 12Mnk/5Clr/3Pal. It gets the full Cleave line, TWF line, WW line and can either go Imp Crit/OC (currently planned) or 2 other feats. My worry is that I won't have Emp Healing, so I'm not sure how good survivability will be. I'm hoping the +13 or so to saves is worth the Pal splash and loss of feats.

Any opinions on experience with splits? Is the bonus to saves that important, or going Ftr to pick up Emp Healing and maybe Monk PL feat or GM stance instead?

That really bums me out man. Seems Rangers really only live to get fucked by Turbine.

Pally version. I wonder if i shall drop GTWF and take Improved Martial Arts instead.

Read the forms description or check the wiki.  You have an incorrect understanding of how +[w] works in woad / animal forms.

Tip. Yiur weapons in item display have no relation to the fact your woad fists put out  +x [1d20].

Handwraps are another matter, you are right to be using weapons. You just don't properly understand why.

with weapons equipped, you're still doing the normal damage of woad/animal form. ie for woad. +x[d20]. It doesn't matter what the weapons +[W] actually is, what you see displayed in inventory and what your damage are are separate.

with handwraps equipped you actually do the +x[w] of handwraps which will either be 1d6 or 1d8. (ie. your damage is what's seen in the inventory display)

In animal forms where the difference is often 1d8 vs 1d10 you're better off sticking with wraps and benefiting from the monks extra die steps.

When comparing monks 1d8 to woads 1d20 you're obviously better off equipping weapons.

Iirc equipping weapons (any kind even those that keep you centerd) will cause whirlwind attack to be a 1 hit instead of the Ryu 4-6 hit whirling flying kick thingy.

Yes, just like it is in animal forms.

I've been looking at this build and considering swapping the pally out for rogue and turning it into a stick build that can trap.  Sticks work well with cleave, and I have far more of them than I have handwraps.

Any thoughts?

Ive played all op and weak builds on main over 80 heroic and 3x all epic plifes, and nothing came even close to trees dps.
Fury shot is nice and all, but dont let the spike threat mislead you on stabile dps.
Its same as on my sorc, i do high burst dps so i kinda always get aggro, but i know that my burst dps isnt even close to my buddy whos playing a swf druid dps.
I dont know for how long, but aggro has been fucked up in ddo as long as i know, like for example eidolon shadow every freaking time having aggro no mater what i play.

I tried a orthodox tree build, forgot correct split but was wizz cleric monk, and if i managed to average 5-6 hit for 6-8 k crits per hit, and you can repeat that burst if lucky more offten then adrenaline slaying, its simple proof that its more dps then monkcher.
Issue with tree, same as swf druid and sorc is always the same, you need nearly 3x all completionist to bring it to its ultimate form, so someone who doesnt have 4 3 2 1 twist setup wont be able to do same dps as someone without that setup.
And the initial maker of 12 5 3 tree has that setup, so you are looking at someone who is quite possibly 3x all, example the more prr you have the more guts you have to engage bazilion mobs, and when you play a specific build for a while you get the feeling what you cant and can engage.
Issue with tree on a multi etr char is that you basically fear nothing.
Over 200 prr, 30% dodge, evasion, aoe that clears shit faster then you can imagine, all saves in near god mode.
Only thing that is bad for tree builds is cripple, but the 12 version helps alot since you can abudant step while in tree form /aka id say 12 monk 5 cleric 3 palie might be best tree split overall
