At this point, does it really matter? 

The game is wankered.  No matter who they put in "control" it's still gonna be a downward spiral while WB sucks the IP dry.  Honestly, could it really be much worse?

It's clear he doesn't play the game, arrogantly believes he understands it better than dedicated players, isn't charismatic enough to lead, and isn't organized enough to marshal his resources ahead of a deadline. Pull a random name out of the phone book and they probably do no worse on any of those and do substantially better on at least one.

Honestly, if his replacement was nearly paralysed with fear and confusion he'd still do better than Sev, who's actively antagonizing the community.

They all seem to consider DDO's most important characteristic to be that it's an MMO, but their reliable customers mostly stick with it because of its similarity to D&D. Producers keep dragging it towards mainstream MMO, and they shed players like a comet hurtling towards the sun. Ninja and Kookie and a few others from DDO used to play DnD every week. Even got to try out the 5e rules long before they went public.

But they were far too junior to have any actual impact on the development of DDO.

Knowledge of DnD would be nice, but far more important would be actual skills at building and growing a computer game company would have been far nicer.

One of my hopes when Varg takes over is that he doesnt like Cordovan and puts him in his place. Fixing up the forum may even encourage a lot of the very knowledgeable players here who simply dont bother with the official forum because its not worth the hassle of clueless fanbois stalking them and getting them infracted for any tiny thing.

Who knows, the boost in quality of the forum may even have a beneficial effect on the game.

I'd really like to win the powerball lotto, buy out the game; grab a bunch of you guys on contract, show up at turbine headquarters, introduce you guys to all the turbine turdburglers and advise them that they have to listen to you, work them like dogs, fire them all and reinvent ddo
