Nice.  New content is always fun.  With the recent changes, I'll even try out some ranger builds.

I called this from the start.  It is not a rush.  They are putting out their EXACT planned content after getting us to bitch about it for 2 weeks.  Now they throw a bone and we think they "listen" to us.

Update 27 was fast, but update 28 wasn't out of the ordinary.  I plotted out how long each update took.  It did seem like the past few updates have been a lot faster than usual, but I think that's mostly because I'm playing less and haven't gotten around to the content yet.

The short time for Update 27 doesn't count as a true update. Update 27 was split away from Update 26 at the last minute because Warlock was taking time away from polishing the quests before their release.

Update 27 is actually Update 26.5.

If you include Update 26 and 27 together, only MOTU, Shadowfail, Halls and Elemental Errors were longer to release.

Sept 30 is the end of the financial reporting quarter, hence whatever shit they can pack into an update will go live before Sep 30.
Obviously there are no KPI's at Turdbine about the quality of the release, so anything goes as they destroy their IP in the process.

Pretty much it is. First run through is ok but nothing really exciting. Have seen a few floor tile puzzles here and there and only one trap in the entire pack. The first quest in the portable hole is a complete joke. So depends on how much demanding you are, I guess. Casuals will probably enjoy it.

I dunno about "satisfied".  In this release alone I think the loot is crap and they should have released AA before DWS.  I don't generally run quests on lamannia so I  have no opinion yet about the quests themselves in terms of fun or XP/min.  And if they are going to pass ranger enhancements, I know that they said they aren't altering any other aspects of classes or feats, but Manyshot needs to be addressed.  Or you are just putting lipstick on a pig when it comes to bow users.

So, going into this release there are some positives and some negatives.   I'm not as jazzed as I was about warlocks or the new amrath content.  Mainly because I like warlocks and I like the loot in amrath, a lot.  I think U28 is going to be a "down cycle" update, overall.  I think U29 has some promise of being better, though.  If they don't massively fuck up the level cap raise.  Which they probably will.  Hopefully they will listen to feedback on the level cap raise, XP requirements, and the impact on TR's like they did with ranger tempest and DWS crit profile modifications.  Otherwise, the butthurt will be massive in the player base.

Hard to say.  They seem to be completely deaf to some feedback and at other times, with exceptional persistence, they will respond, at least in part.  The recent ranger changes are an example of this.  I recall they also made some adjustments to how E-TR was going to work when the cap went to 28 and they introduced that mechanic based on player feedback.  However, there are a lot more examples where they have put stuff out there, "taken feedback" and then just moved their original concept to live with no changes. 

If I was placing money on it, I'd agree with you.  And the odds would be in our favor.
