I've been over all this at length. Spike damage is nice, but you're giving up a lot to get it. You get significantly less dex. Significantly less crit range. Significantly less imbue damage (300 spellpower isn't trying very hard). Extremely less sneak attack. Significantly less Ranged Power. Significantly less fort bypass. Significantly more threat gen. No 100 ninja poison damage per crit. No free vorpal. Etc. Etc. It all adds up.
Yes, your active attacks are better, but Executioner Shot, Inferno Shot, and Dispelling Shot are nothing to ignore.
From my own in-game play, I think the DPS of your AA shuri build is decent. On just trash killing, it might even be better. If it is though, it's marginal given how fast shuriken builds regen adrenaline charges. I can use adrenaline shots at a fairly regular rate during trash clears so while the damage may be spiky, the spikes are consistent.
It still doesn't compare to a FotW build on red-named DPS burns though. Sniper Shot with KTA, dual boosts, 10kS and Adrenaline Overload quads for 9-13k per star on a debuffed LH Tempest Spine Stormreaver. You get 3 of those Sniper Shots during Unbridled Fury plus 5 regular adrenaline shots and all the normal attacks in between. A good Unbridled Fury burn is over 200k dmg in 30s and that's with me being lazy and not using buffs from potions, scrolls, etc.
