But you have to consider rogues are typically in LD so they get a lot of bonuses on helpless.

The shuri build beats in on boss kobold. Without 10k. Without manyshot. Without slayer. In LD too.

Obv if allowed to use bursts, slayer, and proper toee off-hand the times will also crush in LD. Just not near as fast and bursty as fury. But more than mech in either and any setup possible.

If anyone has the inclination test yourself on lama. Still up as of now. Take your toons and see the difference. Any better past lives and gear will scale asymmetrically in favor of the shuri's much higher ceiling.

I don't have lammania. Your results were very intresting. As I said previously I did a 18mnk/2rgr some time ago, and the mech life I did was very better. I didn't play it at cap a lot, but my impression was that on rogue I did a lot more damage except when bursting. Maybe it's because I did the thrower life with arborea instead of ethereal, and the 12/6/2 splash is superior so I was also missing that.

It only took 1.5 years for someone to say the exact thing I've been saying and for anyone else to listen.

God bless DDO players.

It's ironic that this reply indicates just how seriously you take this.

I spent 10 years playing DDO. I spent 8 of them focusing very hard on builds. I spent 3 of them focusing on thrower builds. I have some of, if not the most viewed/replied to build threads for throwers on these and the mobos. I have shared everything I know or tested, openly and clearly. Few people, up until the time I stopped playing, knew things about throwing that I did not. Few people had a main, who they played 90% exclusively for 3 years, only in various thrower builds, getting completionist and epic completionist.

There may be people who have played throwers longer. There may be people who had better thrower builds they did not share, or allow people to criticize and discuss openly. There may be people who could have contributed far more thought and experience with throwers than I ever did, who simply never contributed it publicly anywhere.

If there are, I wish I knew them when I was playing.  Some notable folks who contributed greatly to my knowledge of throwers and other relevant mechanics were CThru, Munkenmo, Poppy on Khyber, Ret on Khyber, LordTigerDawn on the main forums, Tilomere (though he/she is a little schizophrenic at times).

When I say take the torch, I mean publicly adding useful dialogue about thrower build so other people can learn. I don't care if you know secret exploits or bugs that you think are rad and you exploit on a build. Good for you, but if you don't share them they aren't much good to anyone else. They're also probably temporary.

Rubbins testing these things and posting them added usefully to the discussion. I'm just commending him for that. Lots of people don't do that on these forums.

Human for dual boosts which are huge for this build.  You'll lose AA capstone and a few cores due to using the Ranger version of the AA tree instead of the elf.

If you're going to go human though, I'd strongly consider the following:
12 ranger/6 monk/2 rogue (trapping)
12 ranger/6 monk/2 fighter (extra feats)
12 ranger/8 monk (better 10kS).
14 ranger/6 monk (level 4 ranger spells)

Take 4th core + T5s in DWS and tier 3/4s in AA.  Side benefit from more Ranger levels will be better healing spells.

I haven't personally ran the HElf version listed here but I did run the human 12 ranger/6 monk/2 fighter version I just mentioned and it was great.  It's good enough that if the HElf build in this thread is even stronger, you likely won't care.

I TR'd from that shuri build into the Eth's Undead Shiradi.  Eth's build is a beast no doubt, but going from the ranger-based shuriken build to that makes the Shiradi feel kind of slow and meh.

P.S.  If you can ignore the petty drama posts, there is some solid information regarding the alternate build options in the first few pages of this thread.   In particular, it gets better around post 45ish.

Fuck traps, fuck ranger spells,

14Monk/6Ranger Helf or Human. If Human, take a good feat, if helf, don't. 70% Doubleshot during 10k is tits.

Build is here: (very slightly out of date since u28, but pretty minor and mostly equipment. Just take whatever Scion feat you like).

Jesus dude.  Unclench your asshole and stop looking for validation in life from a DDO forum.  You're just making yourself look like a desperate attention whore by puking this needy crap all over any thread that mentions a shuriken build.

Someone should roll a sock, take all your builds and update them for lvl 30, then post them on the motherboards and give Firewall credit for the build ideas.

Old news is ok. Moreover, there is no new News because no one has done anything better than me on the thrower front in years.

I'll be the first person to congratulate when that happens. Since I don't even play anymore, it really shouldn't be that hard.

109 or more seconds for gxbow

46 int, 84 hide, 28 dubshot, and 80 ranged power.

What did you use for Deception?

I was on Lam last weekend tweaking my melee rogue, and I noticed that the boss kobold seemed to be immune to Assassin's Trick and Shiv. The zero sneak attack time was > 100 seconds. Swapping TF daggers and DPS necklace for Agony, Ass Kiss, and Golden Guile (for triple deception) got times < 60 seconds.
