I'm surprised it took this long for something like this to appear.

You and me both. I'm just fucking shocked and stunned the vault has come together to actually help someone who requested help without talking about your mom, or arguing with each other until the whole thread is a train wreck.
I share the surprise. I was a little disappointed though.
But I won't double-down on it. I'm feeling warm fuzzies over the amazing odds you've beaten.

Thanks for your input, and for any others that feel like sharing anything they might have to contribute - plz dont be put off by one nasty post.
I realise most of you are jaded with a game this old and bug ridden, and helping newbies isnt top of your lists when Turbine is pissing in your faces constantly; I get it, and I appreciate those who do offer aid.
And this is great, too. It made me feel even more warm fuzzies. Just don't get shocked if someone calls you on a phrase that means one thing when you read it quickly, and another thing entirely if you pay more attention to it.
So, I apologize for taking it as an underhanded insult. You're absolutely fucking right that veterans need to show newbs some patience and generosity, and hand out useful advice. If we don't, we're helping to finish off this dying game that much sooner.
I am not going to hug it out, though.

Think of it this way if your rolling your eyes at my efforts- if new players come and stay playing DDO because threads like this make it easier for them rather than harder, Turbine might make enough cash to either put more team members on the project or make it a viable product to sell to someone else that might take better care of it; I might be wrong about it, but if I'm right...
And I understand where this idea comes from. I understand why you think it makes sense. It does make sense, just not when applied to Turbine. I'm not rolling my eyes. I remember when I thought, reasonably, pretty much the same thing. But Turbine is an abusive company. Their strategy is not secret. Any one of us who has been around can give you enough repeated examples that it isn't just a subjective opinion anymore. Especially when those examples involve direct quotes from Turbine management.
And if that isn't enough, there's still Fernando.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=677OoDGU0igSorry the sound quality is shit. That's him, telling us how it's not only unimportant what we think, like, or want, but that it's important to ignore us.
Turbine is never going to put more money into DDO. They will happily take your cash and put it into designing a phone app.
And you know what? Their business model still brings in cash. If Turbine disappoints us, we react ... well,
exactly as you say.
