We want to get you back to doing what you love most, playing our games, and hopefully put a smile on your face in the process. We want to make sure every interaction you have with us is a positive one that you’ll remember.

And we want to hear about your experiences and share your stories.

At the bottom of this post you’ll find a link to a simple one question survey. It’s completely anonymous so we’ll have no idea who you are (unless you want us to!). We’d love it if you would share any amazing support stories you’ve experienced with our CS agents. Whether it was that you were impressed by their professionalism, knowledge, friendliness, or how quickly they were able to assist you, or if it’s something more detailed about how you were having a bad day and the agent helped make it better, or if they did something silly or unexpected. You can write about any positive experience you’ve had with our support staff.

We’ll pick some of the best stories and share them with others in Turbine, and possibly other players as well! It’s also a great way for us to share with our GMs exactly how they’ve been able to impact and help all our great fans over the years, and they will really appreciate any feedback or story you provide.

In a game with so many bugs and gameplay "issues" (known, unknown, and unknowable), I've never once had an in-game rep tell me anything other than they were able to do absolute zero to fix or ameliorate whatever I had going on; like most players, I eventually stopped communicating with them for any reason.

To be fair, when I've called the toll free number, even though I had to wait for almost an hour sometimes, when I got someone, they were courteous, well informed, experienced gamers, and most importantly they were cool. No ego, no bluster, and no bullshit. I called them for several fucked up issues and I've gotten hundreds of $$ of free shit from them because I was documenting with bug reports and tickets which they could see.

Customer service is completely separate from snot face Jerry and his rectal prolapse recovery dept. CS deals with the financial transactions and account based purchases mainly. They don't really do troubleshooting and for the most part are graceful enough to give guidance how to seek further resolution. But for the last 4 months, the bug and ticket box has been 'broken' and I'd imagine they've gotten more than an earful in the last month.

CS I'd imagine has had to eat alot of shit that isn't their fault. I've had nothing but good experience and rapport with them anytime I've called. They are more than fair, uniquely understanding, and believe it or not very generous.

i think this is a good move. lets face it from all the people on here and also the mobo if you post something its guaranteed to be trolled, dissected and spat out.
atleast with any sort of surveys or polls or information collection that is down in a one on one sense, people are more inclined to write what they feel rather than what wont get trolled on.

ddochat automatically hides your IP address.  If it didn't, I wouldn't use it.  Shitty story otherwise.

I've honestly had nothing but great experiences with their CSR's. They typically are understaffed so anything time-sensitive (like a quest issue) is pointless to even ticket - you're better off just running the quest again - but that said when they do work with you they're courteous, well-informed, and usually go beyond the call of duty. Which is a good thing seeing as how there are so many bugs that fuck up people's accounts.  Grin

I have had great luck on the phone, and shit luck in game.  Except Krymux, he always comes through.  I wonder what would happen if they named a Cleric Hireling after him.

This is pretty much my exact experience with calling in to their CS.

In game has also been decent, and only decent because of the time it takes.  I submitted a ticket once and was told it had to be addressed in-game, so I next called in hoped they could handle it and got the same answer.  Logged in during business hours and opened the in-game ticket, referencing the ticket I had submitted via web, and played for a bit, then wandered of to watch some TV and fell asleep.  When I logged on the next day I had a mail from an in-game CS guy and my issue had been resolved even though I guess the guy tried to talk to me and got the afk message.

IRC is what it is.  ddochat doesn't even use its own server.  The only people who could see unmasked IP addresses would be the admins of Sorcerynet, which have said many times they wouldn't give that kind of information out without a legal request.

Somehow I doubt this is something Varg or Cordo would do to get an IP address of someone in a chatroom that could pick any name, to connect to an in game account?
