I quit the second time around because of their behaviours - too many new systems for their own benefit and too little respect for player time already invested whilst doing so and invalidating old systems and effort. So, for me at least, maintenance mode and a static ruleset are now a welcoming though. I would probably start playing again if the constant tinkering were to cease and I can only see that happening at maintenance mode. Especially as, as others have noted many times before, the current devs seem to prioritise padding their CV over our experience.

So yeah it's almost a prerequisite for me playing now and therefore spending any money on the game. That's how laughably poor this bunch are - they've pushed away a long standing customer with their ineptitude and apparent disregard/contempt.

100% agree, Maint Mode is salvation not doom. Well, maybe if by some miracle WB made a clean sweep of management and the game was run by people with a brain that might also get me spending again, but I think Maint Mode is by far the most likely change that gets me spending again.

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

After taking constant breaks away from the game I tried logging in a few times in the past week. I see very, very few PUGs on Ghallanda now and thats pushing me away from DDO again.

Does anybody know if its just G-land or pretty much the whole game is empty now?

Same here.  I don't know if even maintenance mode would get me playing again, but I'm sure not coming back to the current environment of constantly pulling the rug out from under players.

It'll be a heck of a bullet point for Fernando's resume when gross income, player logins, and player subscriptions go UP because they announce maintenance mode.

G-Land has always been a cliquey server.

The land of multiple Massive Guilds and one in particular that runs a large multi-guild chat channel for grouping.

Open LFMs will naturally be low on such a server.

The best Server for Pugging I've found is Sarlona. and even there there's large guilds and communication issues between English and Chinese speakers.
Somehow Sarlona maintains a strong Pug scene though and unlike G-Land has OPEN Chat Channels like Defense and Help.

Cannith has always been good to me.

Khyber is also good for LFMing - The lack of drama on this Server has always surprised me.

Argo has been decent for me too but I must admit that despite being in a Large Guild I tend to mainly solo when there these days.

I've made no bones about my issues with Thelanis and Orien and the strong Elitist attitude on both servers.

Wayfinder = Lol, what LFMs?  Half the Server is in ONE Guild!

Main Characters by Server - Cannith Jelina, Sylveria, Enochpagett, Lieuk, Larystessian, Molineux. Sarlona Keltenn, Franq, Athiina, Nyszsa, Curleag, Nalpheyn. Khyber Tynecastle, Athenion, Argo Clievelund, Bjorkalina, G-Land Hassannavid, Tannadice.

Turbine is a company, not your friend.

If a company you have been loyal to suddenly changes their product so that it either is worse or not even working any more then only a complete fool would continue to patronize them.

Business only understands one thing, the bottom line.

The posters above who have a delusional perception of their relationship with Turbine seem to be suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

The only thing disappointing about this announcement is that there isn't another MMO to jump off to.

Pretty much all the other MMOs I've tried sucked enough ass to make DDO look great (how sad is that?)

I've been gearing down since my Main made Completionist (legit, pure 20 all classes!) which coincides nicely with my real life schedule ramping up.

So this news just gets a big bucket of "Meh" from me.

PS- Good luck in the in the super-saturated mobile market, Turbine. LMAO

Typical.

Worse than typical, since he's basically bitching about not being laid off and still having a work load.  A giant "Fuck you, losers!" to all his colleagues who now get to worry about paying their rent.

As much as I play up this angle of how he gets away with so much shit, I think it's a simple matter that Jerry is a sissy submissive to his bosses. He plays the role for his superiors just like his fanbois do to him and essentially would do anything to anyone in a place of power for anything.

No one else would want his shit job (Except maybe Shoemaker) and Turbine wouldn't give it to anyone else for fear it would cost more than daily donuts and 3 gallons of coke a day. Turbine can't give us a new community leader because they would benefit the community as a whole rather than a select few that have made a commitment to not rock the boat but also be called upon as attack dogs in the MoBo's. Just so Cordovan can come "moderate" and sanitize the forums. Then Cordovan gets his jollies for hitting that infraction and banhammer button when the dialogue doesn't meet his propagandist standards.

I wonder what will happen with U32? Steelstar announced development of LGS back in Apr 2015. 9 months of development and we got a shit tier crafting system complimented with even worse shit tier content. The drow slavers module for D&D P&P is a staple of any old school dungeon crawler and this was expected and hoped to be on the level of Haunted Halls. Given the track record of the last 2 years, I'm sure a majority of people are going to expect with U32 more broken mechanics, bugged interfaces, unpolished and rushed update content and another shit tier crafting system on top of their "FIXED" Cannith crafting.

There is no more account support. Just like there is no accountability as far as WB and Turbine are concerned. The ship is going down and the rats are jumping off, except for Cordovan who impersonated a gerbil and found a nice warm temporary spot in the rectum of some Turbine exec.

see this is the problem when WB brought it out.
Fuck mobile aps, that's soooo stupid and doesn't work.
I like chating with my friends when we group up. Mobile apps I WILL NEVER join. Someone needs to back Lotro and DDO and buy them from WB.
As a DJ in my younger years I was on the list to receive promo from a lot of record companies, Again WB was the worst to deal with, give you total rubbish shit tracks and expect you to push them and report on them, but anything that was a hint of good you never received. FUCK YOU WB TO HELL!!!!!!!!!

If it's anyone other than Leslie of Tyrs Paladium, I'd be shocked.  He's personally gone out of his way to help ensure no other chat channels prosper.  If someone starts a new one, he blacklists those people and gets his sheep followers to do so as well.  I've seen it first hand.

There's other chat channels beyond Leslie's... it's just that you need to earn the trust of the guilds in them to know about them.

There's also the fact that you have a Scandinavian channel, a Greek channel a Frog channel, and more.

Fuck Fat Jerry and his pig face and fuck Sevpay and his hack and slash fetish.

I just want maintenance mode to officially drop so that I can actually play the game without the fucking retards at Turbine tossing out old shitty systems and replacing them with half pinched piles of fresh steaming shit.

The random loot is fucking garbage, the classes are more imbalanced then ever, mobs AI has gone full retard, and the shitty game plays about as smoothly as Fat Jerry's pimpled face.

At least maintenance mode should hopefully keep the fucking retards from smearing more of their shitty ideas around.
