Fran being fran-retarded as usual

From main board, he:
1)  Can't get to Reclaiming the Rift quest in Demonweb because he can't find the way and jumping off until you land on it won't work, or if it works it will take 30 minutes of jumping off to get to it.

2) Can't do Sane Asylum because he can't solve the floor puzzle (and apparently doesn't know about DDO wiki).

3)  Reaver's Fate can't be done because apparently you "fail" the puzzle the first 3 or 4 times you try and it is an auto-party-wipe each time you fail... and it is timed and there is not enough time to figure it out... and again can't google Reaver's fate puzzle solver.

4) can't do the shroud floor puzzles unless it is a 3x3 and only if he get's lucky and again, can't google "Shroud puzzle solver".

This guy sure likes to complain about how hard the game is, but will do NOTHING to try and learn even the simplest concepts about it.

He's trying to actually play the game, instead of using automatic easy buttons, and he's right; shit's hard, yo.

Oh Sweet Zombie Jebus on a Fucking Pogo Stick.  We all get it, Fran is a retard.  You don't need to fanboi post about him everytime he says something stupid.

I vote for this.  I'd love to see what comes out of a Player's Council that was full of Frans.  I am dead serious about this.

Fran was on the council in 2014, because of course he was.

He quit the council shortly after joining it, because of course he did.

Don't get me wrong Fran is a stinking cunt, however one of the more well known types of MMO gamers is the one who won't wiki under any circumstance. Think of it as like the kind of gamer who wouldn't use cheat codes or maps from gamer magazines.

Now granted Fran is clearly too fuckwittarded and is in dire need of the wiki crutch. I far more of am the mind such puzzles are entirely pointless if they can be wiki'd.

1) come on, if it takes more than 5 minutes it's because you were unlucky.
2) tiles are hard yo... *sarcasm dripping*
3) Mastermind is hard yo *drips drips*
4) Game of life is hard yo *drips drips* ( ok, for me the 3*3 can be a nuisance from time to time )

Oh and I confirm that Fran was in the first Player Council and decided to leave because it wasn't what he thought it was going to be.

His post also mentioned that Reavers Reach sucks for XP when leveling and the refuge is only for favor runs.   WTF is he talking about?  Refuge slayers and rares are massive XP/min.   And ETK and Monastery are two of the best XP/min quests on a BB, especially if you have a trapper for Monastery.

His issue is that they are level 17 quests, so he can only run them at level 19.  But he holds 18 until he is ready to take 20.  And then at 20, E Spies, E Von3, etc are way more xp.  So, you are running shittier XP/min quests when earning XP 3,600,000 to 3,800,000 because you chose to hold 18 and don't want run a level 17 quest on elite?

That's just about the dumbest thing I have heard.

(Yes, I know there is plenty of XP in the game and you can, and do, skip lots of good XP quests along the way but these quests seem to make that last 400k fly by, imo)

If he can't figure out the floor puzzle in Sane Asylum, there is no way he is figuring out the puzzle in Monastery (but I doubt he ever reached that puzzle due to not even being able to get down to the lower level).

And there's no way he's beating the end-boss kobold on ETK.

In Monastery, you want to bring a group if you are doing the puzzle.  That end puzzle is a bitch to solo on elite  so you are just killing Sanyasi.  You should be strapping on the PLIS and whupping his ass as quickly as you can.  preferrably on a caster or ranged toon.  He hits like a mack truck when you are at level.  Even with current gear and a high PRR.

In ETK, an at level solo here is tough on a non-evasion toon, especially if the build is light on self healing (looking at you kensai fighter).  Coming prepared (novel concept, I know) with fire shield, fire protection, fire resistance, and fire absorption is always a good idea and makes this fight way easier.  If you have decent evasion, just ignore the adds and beat the shit out of the two bosses.  There are some pull strategies that you can use to get the kobold boss down into the nook below the bridge he stands on when you first enter.  This can shelter you from the early adds and the new spawns (like the efreeti) won't aggro on you until you move far enough that they can detect you.  Ranging from the tunnel itself is an option, but you will often get unlucky and the boss comes at you too far and rubber bands.

The efreeti is easy to kite and range kill, if that is your build style.  It is a unique end fight, to say the least.  But it is doable.  Both in a group and solo.     ETK is sick fucking xp/min with a good group tho.  Some strong optional Xp and you can speed run it really quick.

I've never once done the puzzle in Ghost of a Chance.  Not a single time, not even using the wiki.  Fuck a puzzle where if you make a mistake it fails the mission one fight from the end.  I'll fight the extra fight and skip the bonus chest with nothing named in it.

I do that puzzle every time, both heroic and epic. I found it really easy to memorize and I never have to look at the wiki. I can actually complete the puzzle faster than the captain and his minions can be killed.

Not that XP is that hard to come by at that level but the bonus XP is well worth learning the puzzle.
