At this point I've reached a level of frustration wherein any sort of new cannith crafting system, even a broken one, is better than nothing. Slotting gear based on ranjan is an absolute fucking nightmare.

youre not getting max stats that rng can roll. it's going to be at 14/6/3rd ability and 2 slots. If you dont think that is worth it, then youre doing it wrong. or on dc caster, but that's 1 fucking item. the rest of your shit should be 14/6/3rd item 2 slots. can you even find that on asah these days? pro tip : no.

Not an alcoholic.  Just someone who doesn't understand math.  There are 10 spell powers, and 10 spell lores.  11 if you count the generic 'all spell powers' or 'all spell lores' effect.  So spell power and lore tend to clog up the effects on the new lootgen.  What they need to do is to group all the spell powers, and group all the spell lores.  Then weight the groups higher than 1 against all the other effects (specifically what weight I haven't looked into, but it must be higher than 1 or casters will be screwed by too few items turning up with spell power or lore), and then roll on the group list for the specific power or lore to assign.

But that takes an understanding of math that your average high school student has, so it's not bloody likely that anyone at Turbine is able to see the flaws inherent in the system of giving all effects an equal weight and saying 'go' as if they've done a good job or something.

We can always hope.  But when has that ever paid off when dealing with Turbine?

If the CC allows me to make 14/6/3rd ability and 2 slot items I'll be ecstatic, and I'll gladly finish leveling my CC skill(s).  But I'm not willing to bet a wooden nickel on the system working as they have said it will work.  Because that way lies madness.
